I would just like to say thank you to whomever wrote this article. I am a highschooler who carries a 4.0 GPA, is in many extra-curricular activities, has never smoked (cigarettes, marijuana, or any other substance), has never been involved in any sexual acts of any sort, and is a huge Eminem fan. I know all of the lyrics to all of his songs, and I even relieve my stress by listening to his music. Obviously, I haven't gone astray by listening to "questionable" lyrics by my favorite artist. Nor do I know anyone else who has. Thank you for writing this and allowing a different side of the story to be heard.

i think it's dumb. isnt the parent the one that bought the cd in the first place? What kind of idiot buys a cd for their kid without checking it out first. it's so simple. the parents should be telling their kids it's not real, instead they get all uptight over everything violent or sexually oriented and it's like oh bad words and violence its evil. but you try to hide it from your kids then they arent being told it's not real then they're more likely to get shocked by it if they do hear or see such things. i'm not saying that young kids should listen but when they're teenagers these things should be explained to them. i think eminem makes light of that. if they dont know it's not real they're more likely to act on it. the attitude now a days is instead of parents taking an active role in the upbringing they leave it up to the schools, day care, babysitters/nannies, etc. it's like "HELLO!" you cant avoid letting your children grow up and being aware of these things. so smarten up!
It's not eminem's fault you're a dumbass!
