in my view your salary of 12,000 + 5000 for accomodation is good but there are two points to raise here:
1. one bedroom appartment in Dubai would be at least 5000 Dirhams a month if you will live in a very very poor area in Dubai but of course if you want to live in average area it is about 7000 Dirhams a month and trust me it can go up to 15,000 dirhams a month but again it depends where you want to live and what kind of facilities you require.
2. you will need to consider contacting private schools to find out yourself how much you will be expecting to pay for your child in Dubai schools. I listed above some of the school names that you can contact.
