Sunday, October 31st, 2004Still here, up late. I was just checking my referrals and it turns out I’ve been ranked in at 216th, of the blogospheres most visited weblogs. Who’d have thought it?
A few things. The server is groaning under the bandwidth, I will be looking into a new one shortly. My computer is groaning like it shouldn’t be, I will have to get onto Dell because the hard drive is making all kinds of strange noises, and sounds like it might die. Comment spam has increased dramatically recently, I got hit with 900 spam comments in under a day. That brings it up to almost 2000 this week. WordPress checks for number of links in the comment, and for keywords, and if the comment fails, it is put into moderation – where I delete it. MT-Blacklist was so much better though, I will have to find a better way of fighting spam on WordPress.

Moby praises “Mosh”
Wednesday, October 27th, 2004Although the fact he has been dissed in his “Without Me” video and that Eminem has clearly expressed his disgust of his music and of his person, Moby has expressed his admiration for Eminem’s new video Mosh. Moreover, the artist has recommended his fans to listen to the song and to watch the video:
“You know that Eminem and I have had our differences in the past, but this video is the best thing that I’ve seen all year. It’s an amazing song and an even more amazing video.” (Moby)
I agree with Moby. This video is probably the best for the whole year 2004. You can count it among my favorite Eminem videos.
Mosh is a fight song with an insightful message towards his listeners from America and all over the world.

Picture Eminem in the role of a teacher: kids and adults, ready for your first anti war lesson. Follow Marshall, now headed with a American flag bandana, to the streets of America, expressing his rage against the headlines showing Bush’s war plans.

Wednesday, October 27th, 2004You might have noticed posting has been very light, and I’ve changed the permissions on several parts of the site. This is due to the fact that its the 26th of October and I’ve already surpassed my 15GB a month bandwidth limit. Webalizer is showing 70,000 visits in 350,000 hits, Sitemeter is showing 40,000 visits in 60,000 page views.
I’ve been trying to track why there has been a recent and sudden upsurge in visitors – and I can’t figure it out. It is not related to any specific post. Nonetheless I am seekin a new host – with a higher allowance of up to 25GB a month. Somehow a site of mostly text is chewing through about 600Mb a day, I may be the victim of referral spam. I will have to take a closer look at the raw logs.
Anyways things will get back to normal closer to the US elections.

His music is entertaining and emotional at the same time, it is a rich mixture of several musical genres like soul, blues, jazz, gospel, funky and soul. James Brown is one of those men who communicates a lot of energy and enthusiasm through his music.
