Sad news indeed. Is it me or does it always come across as more tragic when it’s an air accident? Same goes for commercial airlines too, somehow I think one can more closely related to it.

I don’t know. When the Pan Am jet was blown up over Scotland or, of course, with Sep 11, it was pretty easy to picture myself among the passengers.
I cannot, however, picture myself in a helicopter, ever. And, definitely not in Iraq.
I think I can relate more to the people in the helicopter over Iraq more than hearing about a soldier being randomly killed by an IED. Strange one I guess.
