I was living abroad when you posted the Dobson interview where a whinging Mr Ahern states 'I appointed them because they were friends'. Yes, he said this on Ireland's national television. Why was he not immediately retired? This whinger held the office of Taoiseach in 2006 & F.Fail electoral machine got him returned to position in 2007. I wonder why? There is no doubt that Mahon scored a direct bull's eye last Thursday & Friday. I wonder why Coughlan has come out in support today? I wonder why Dail Eireann has not been recalled? The only people who can remove Mr Ahern from his office are in the Fianna Fail parliamentary party. They have not done so. Why? Conspiracy! Excellent work Gavin. The Sunday papers did some mild coverage, but nothing near what there should have been. As of today, the story has fallen off the news agenda. I am not inclined to write dramatically about these things but that has changed. The fourth estate is at risk of becoming irrelevant. This democracy is at risk.
