Wikipedia != Authoritative?

Slashdot covers some recent controversy about how reliable Wikipedia is. I have often wondered just how accurate some of the coverage is, and the fact that five errors inserted over five days and all of them stayed there until they were removed by the author at the end of the experiment, is pretty damning. But is 5 days too short a time?
