Many people are expressing dismay at Bono’s decision to do a deal with Apple. I think it’s a smart move. The thing about players like iPods is that not only are the medium through which you listen (like CD players and stereos), but they are also the holders of the content (like CDs themselves and tapes).
So I don’t see a problem with selling a stereo with a CD of U2s new album on CD, just as I don’t see a problem with selling an iPod with the album already on it.
