Jokecasting

Among the many ideas brough up in conversation during drinks with some of Ireland’s bloggers, was my idea of recording jokes and podcasting/audioblogging them to the masses. This could be done to great effect in the pubs of Ireland, where accents are very interesting, and jokes can be very, very funny. I would imagine an international audience would be hugely interested. Obviously the same thing could be done in any country, and someobody is likely already doing it. But I think Ireland provides a unique oppurtunity.

I did a quick search for the term ‘jokecast’, and it appears its a new term. Maura has now dubbed me “The Oracle” for my “ability to predict and suggest future trends in blogging”.

I really do like this idea and consider it my baby. I have asked lots of people for their thoughts on it, even people who don’t know what a podcast is, but they all liked the sounds of it. Now all I have to do is get out there and start it.
