Since these corporate and semi-state resignations are most unusual in an Irish environment, could it be that those who might be subject to the latest Garda investigations were ‘politely’ encouraged to get out by one of the Brian’s?
Slightly separate but related issue: Aren’t investigations such a useful blocker for awkward and embarrassing questions? (Or is that subject to investigation and therefore unanswerable?!)
